What is AreYouInterested IM on Are You Interested?
AreYouInterested IM is an IM network for Are You Interested users that is powered by Meebo! Chat with your friends through the IM bar at the bottom of the Are You Interested site.
What is AreYouInterested IM on Meebo?
Chat on Meebo and your Are You Interested friends will appear on your buddy list just like your other chat buddies do (i.e. Yahoo, MSN, AIM, etc.). To access your AreYouInterested IM account through Meebo simply add your Are You Interested login details to your Meebo network accounts page.
If you don't have a Meebo account. It's pretty quick and painless to create one. We have all the steps to create a Meebo account linked and ready to go.
To add your Are You Interested login to Meebo
- Log in to Meebo.com
- Click the “account” link at the top of the page
- Enter your Are You Interested log in details
- Click save
How do I add a Are You Interested friend?
Login to your Are You Interested account at http://www.Areyouinterested.com/ and add friends just as you normally do from their profile pages. They will be automatically added to the AreYouInterested IM friend list in the IM Bar, and also when you log in through Meebo.
How do I remove a Are You Interested friend?
Login to your Are You Interested account at http://www.Areyouinterested.com/ and remove the friends from your “My Friends” list. They will be automatically removed from your AreYouInterested IM friend list in the IM Bar, and also when you log in through Meebo.
How do I refresh my buddy list?
You shouldn't have to refresh it at all! But if you need to, just minimize the buddy list to refresh it!
How do I change my status message?
Simply click the drop down arrow next to your user name and choose away or busy.
After you have selected your status, you can choose to leave a personal message to go along with that by entering text in the field right below your user name where it says “type a status message here.”
How do I sign out of AreYouInterested IM?
Open up your Are You Interested buddy list, click the drop down arrow to the right of your user name, and choose sign off chat.
How do I sign back into AreYouInterested IM?
On the bottom right of the page you'll see “You are offline. Sign on now. Click the box and you will be signed back in.
How do I block someone on Are You Interested?
To block someone while on Are You Interested:
- Log into your Are You Interested account
- Open your Are You Interested buddy list
- Select the drop down arrow under the Are You Interested Icon in the AreYouInterested IM bar
- Select "block"
To block someone while logged into your Are You Interested account on Meebo:
- Log into your Are You Interested account on Meebo
- Under your Are You Interested group, right click on the Are You Interested you would like to block
- Select “block”
Note: You should not receive another message from the person you've block. The Are You Interested username should remain blocked until you unblock them.
How do I report abuse?
To report a user while on http://www.Areyouinterested.com/:
- Log into your Are You Interested account
- Open your Are You Interested buddy list
- Select the drop down arrow under the persons Are You Interested Icon
- Select report
What is the Meebo Pop-out?
The Meebo pop-out will allow you to interact with your Are You Interested buddies in another browser. You'll notice at the bottom left of your AreYouInterested IM buddy list is a pop out icon. 
When you click this Icon a separate browser will open and take you to meebo.com, automatically load your AreYouInterested IM buddy list.
Features in Meebo that are currently not supported for AreYouInterested IM
Unfortunately, some of the things you can do in Meebo for other networks aren't yet supported for AreYouInterested IM.
- Renaming a user
- Dragging and dropping a friend to invite to a conference
- Starting a group chat
- Chat logs
- Invisibility
Compatible Browsers
AreYouInterested IM should display and function properly with most major browsers. Recently we've seen some issues with IE8 Beta. You'll have to make sure and click the Compatibility View button in the tool bar in order for the IM bar to display correctly.
