Meebo support

To get started with Meebo Messenger, go to www.meebo.com. From here you can:

• Sign on to any supported IM network. Click Sign on to individual accounts in the upper-right corner of the screen. This will open meebo.com/messenger where you can enter your login and password under the network you want to sign on to and then click Sign On. This will sign you into the specified account and open the Meebo Messenger Interface.
• Create a Meebo ID. It is completely free and takes just a couple of minutes. You can link your other IM accounts to your Meebo ID, allowing you to see all of your friends on all your connected networks immediately upon signing in to Meebo Messenger.

To create a Meebo ID:

1. Go to www.meebo.com. The login screen opens. This screen allows you to log in to your Meebo ID or into any other supported networks. To create a new Meebo ID, enter your email address and your full name in the box labeled Join Meebo and then click Register. The registration window expands.
2. Choose a Meebo ID and password. We recommend that your password be at least 8 characters long and contain both letters and numbers. After choosing a user name and password, enter your age and gender and then click Finish.
3. Add your existing IM accounts. In order to see your buddies in Meebo Messenger when you log in using your Meebo ID, you must connect your existing IM accounts. Use the left and right arrows to scroll through the available networks, select one, enter your username and password on that network, and click +Add. You may add multiple accounts from the same network, with the exception of Facebook. You can add additional accounts later as described in Signing On to and Connecting IM Accounts. Once you are finished adding accounts, click Finish
   
   Note: If you add a Facebook account, a pop-up window will prompt you for your Facebook login information.


4. Invite friends to Meebo. Share Meebo Messenger with your friends! If you use Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, or AOL Mail, enter your login information, choose the appropriate service from the drop-down list, and click Find Your Friends to select contacts to invite. You can also enter email addresses of friends to invite by clicking add addresses. If you do not want to invite friends at this time, click skip

You have now created a Meebo ID and you are logged in to Meebo Messenger. All of the buddies on all the networks you added in step 3, above, will be shown in the Buddy List (note that offline buddies will be in the Offline group). You can start a conversation with a buddy right away by double-clicking them. For more information about what you can do from this page, see The Meebo Messenger Interface.

Note: If you are using a Windows PC, you will see an option to download the Meebo Notifier, an application that allows you to receive Meebo message updates on this computer even when you are not logged into Meebo Messenger. Click Download to install this application.
