What can I do with the bookmarklet?

The bookmarklet allows you to:

• Check in anywhere across the web. When you check in you can add a comment, share to Facebook and Twitter, and see who else is checking in to your favorite sites.
• See where the people you are following are checking in. The Recent stories area of your Meebo profile shows you where your friends and people you follow are checking in, what they're linking to, and what they have to say about it.

How do I get the Meebo Bookmarklet?

First you'll need to create an account at meebo.com if you haven't done so already. Once you are signed in, click Get the bookmarklet and then drag the bookmarklet to your browser's bookmark bar.

Can I use the Meebo Bookmarklet on my browser?

You can get the bookmarklet on any browser that supports Javascript bookmarks. The Meebo Bookmarklet is supported on the following browsers:

What happens when I check in using the Bookmarklet?

When you check in to a site, the check-in will appear on your Meebo profile and in the news feeds of everyone who is following you. For more information, see check-ins and following.

How do I uninstall the Bookmarklet?

To uninstall the Bookmarklet, remove it from your bookmarks either by right-clicking it and selecting Delete in your bookmark bar or by removing it via your browser's bookmark manager.

Can I change the name of the bookmarklet?

You can use your browser's bookmark manager to change the name (just as you would change the name for any other bookmarked link). In most browsers, this can be done by right-clicking the bookmarklet and choosing Edit.

Can I save the bookmarklet somewhere other than my bookmark bar?

You can put the bookmarklet anywhere that you could put a bookmarked link. See your browser's bookmark manager for more information.

What happened to the Meebo MiniBar?

The Meebo MiniBar still exists, but we encourage you to install the new extension to access our new check-in features.
