Meebo is seeking versatile JavaScript engineers with strong frontend engineering skills (JS, DOM scripting, CSS, markup) and solid CS fundamentals who are driven to develop high-quality web applications. Meebo's apps, including the Meebo Bar and Meebo Messenger, reach over 200 million unique users every month. A JavaScript Engineer at Meebo will:

• Help leverage everything the browser offers, including the latest implementations of HTML5 and CSS 3, to create fast, scalable, complex web applications that are easy to maintain and extend.
• Work closely with a team of talented frontend engineers to develop enduring, innovative solutions.
• Create new products and new features based on the Meebo architecture.
• Maintain core JS code used by the team.
• Collaborate with server-side engineers to optimize scalability and network efficiency.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and others to keep projects moving quickly and efficiently.

Our ideal JavaScript Engineer candidate will have:

• A passion for JavaScript and experience using it in a variety of projects.
• Experience using JavaScript, DOM scripting, CSS and semantic HTML to create clean, fast web applications.
• Experience working with frameworks such as YUI, Dojo, or jQuery.
• Phenomenal debugging abilities across all of the major browsers.
• A track record of solving hard problems.
• A stubborn empathy for end users.
• A kind heart and the desire to work with a team on which people treat each other with respect and generosity.
